That’s me! I’m Gema, known online as Ashenwave, a freelance illustrator from Spain with a passion for playing and talking about video games.
I'm a millenial with life-long vision problems and chronic migraines. Of course, accessibility is an important topic for me
My mother tongue is Spanish but I write all my posts in English. Currently I'm also learning Japanese.
My hobbies include: reading sci-fi and speculative fiction, listening to heavy metal music (progressive and symphonic are my favorites) and lately, building block/brick models :D
This blog is an attempt to create my own online space, away from the social media rat race, where I can freely publish any content I want from short reviews of the video games I play to anything else I find worthy to share.
The title of the site comes from a Japanese word, Komorebi (木漏れ日), that means ‘sunlight filtering through the trees‘. Then I added 'sunrise' and voila! Komorebi Sunrise was born.
About the accessibility reviews:
They will be mainly focus on the accessibility options and overall experience when playing on the Steam Deck or a similar console.
I don’t play video games that use generative AI, even if it’s just a little. Only human-made creations will be recommended here.
[Still Under Construction!]
